Obernai region. Trail UTMB Alsace from Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 May: what you need to know

This is a great first and no one knows exactly what impact the Alsace Grand Est trail by UTMB will have this “big machine”, one of the 35 UTMB world series in the world. The event is major: no less than 650 volunteers will be mobilized (a handful are still wanted) and the race will be broadcast by the L’Équipe channel on its website, with great promotion hoped for in Alsace.

The circuit will borrow the vineyard, the massif, will pass next to 19 castles and Mont Sainte-Odile. Locally, the municipalities of Dambach-la-Ville, Bernardvillé, Andlau, Barr, Ottrott and Rosheim will be crossed intramurally, but no road or path in the massif will be closed.

Traffic and parking in Barr (especially Saturday) and in Obernai will however be impacted, with some streets closed at times and condemned car parks.
