CLIMBING THE STEPS – Day 3. The unbeatable Indiana Jones offered the people of Cannes a climb of the most Hollywood steps, this Thursday, May 18, for the presentation of the new part of the famous saga. This is presented as a world premiere and out of competition.
Everyone was waiting for it: from the fans around the Palais des Festivals to the photographers, ready to draw. This Thursday, May 18, the Fortnight had the privilege of welcoming a prestigious guest for its third day of the ceremony. The illustrious Harrison Ford, unbeatable Indiana Jones now 80 years old, walked the red carpet in his best tuxedo for the presentation – in world premiere – of the fifth part of the saga, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, selected out of competition. At his side, his director James Mangold as well as his acting partners, Mads Mikkelsen (Drunk) and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (flea bag), but especially his wife, actress Calista Flockhart, unforgettable Ally McBeal. Hand in hand, the couple, charming and attentive, has also offered the public a sweet moment of complicity.

Before them, other stars, French this time, appeared at 6:30 p.m. and in their best outfits. In particular, we saw the whole team of the new film by Stéphanie Di Giusto, Rosalie, who is competing for the “Un Certain Regard” prize. In the casting, Nadia Tereszkiewicz, Benoît Magimet, Guillaume Gouix, Juliette Armanet or even Gustave Kervern, but above all Benjamin Biolay and his daughter, Anna Biolay, 19, who give themselves a reply on screen for the first time.

Celebrities who came to applaud them also marked this great Cannes parade with their breathtaking outfits. Successive music personalities including singer Yseult, rapper Orelsan and Bilal Hassani – who caused a sensation in a golden dress topped with a feather headgear. The godfather of electronic music, Nicolas Jarre, was also present, as well as the Indian actress, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, star of Bollywood.
