The summer tourist season looks promising in the territory of Beaucaire Terre d’Argence

The tourist office of the Beaucaire Terre d’Argence intercommunality offers a consistent, varied and lively program for tourists as well as for the inhabitants of the territory, with many new features.

With its 103 professional partners – a growing number – the tourist office of the Beaucaire Terre d’Argence community of municipalities is approaching the summer tourist season with optimism and a revised and corrected program with a lot of new features.

Good start to the season

The 11 agents of the office will not be too many to welcome tourists, French and foreign, as well as the very inhabitants of the territory of Terre d’Argence, in order to make them know and appreciate it, and to promote its heritage in connection with industry professionals.

“The beginning of the season is good”remarks the president of the CCBTA Juan Martinez who noted that Occitania was the region most in demand in terms of tourism. “In 2022, the large gites had worked well”abounds the director of the tourist office Valérie Parayre, who already notes “in 2023 a better level of attendance” for all lodgings.

A full program of activities

1) The escape game “Raymond and the quest for the grail”. At the fortress of Beaucaire, in June, Saturday and Sunday all day; in July and August, every day except July 31 (online reservation from 1er June) ; in September, Saturday and Sunday all day.
2) The experience of the Camargue race. 26 dates until Friday November 10, discovering behind the scenes of the race and the race itself with Alicia.
3) Panorama aperitifs. At the Abbey of Saint-Roman in Beaucaire Wednesday at 7 p.m., June 14 and 21, July 12 and 26, August 9 and 23; at the fortress of Beaucaire Wednesday at 7 p.m., June 21, July 5 and 19, August 2, 16 and 30.
4) Gourmet encounters. Workshop at the Vivo grocery store in Beaucaire on Tuesday at 6.30 p.m., June 6 and 20, July 4 and 18, August 8 and 22; breakfast in the orchard at Mas d’Espiard in Vallabrègues Thursday and Friday at 10 a.m., July 13 and 28 and August 11 and 25; tasting) the blind wine tasting at Château Mourgues du Grès on Friday at 10.30 a.m., July 7 and 21, August 4 and 18 and 1er september.
5) Nature encounters. Rhône experience cruise on a barge departing from Vallabrègues Thursday and Friday at 2 p.m., from July 20 to August 11; ornithological discovery of the banks of the Rhône by barge departing from Vallabrègues on Saturday at 6 p.m., from July 22 to August 12; discovery of a thoroughbred Arabian breeding at Scott Allman Arabians in Beaucaire on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., June 13 and 27, July 11 and 25, August 8 and 22, September 12 and 26; picking and distillation workshop at Mas en Provence in BellegardeThursday at 9:30 a.m., July 13, 20 and 27, August 3, 10 and 17; immersion in the world of herdsmen at the Rhône manade in Vallabrègues on Wednesday at 10 a.m., 26 July, 9 August and 13 September.
6) Cultural encounters. Archaeological visit and Roman wines at the Mas des Tourelles in Beaucaire Wednesday at 4 p.m., June 7, 14, 21 and 28; eccentric tours of the historic center of Beaucaire Thursday at 6 p.m., July 20 and 27, August 3, 10 and 17.
7) Creative encounters. Roman mosaic workshop at Mas des Tourelles Wednesday at 11 a.m., July 19 and 26, August 2, 9, 16 and 23; oil lamp creation workshop at Mas des Tourelles Thursday at 11 a.m., July 20 and 27, August 3, 10, 17 and 24.
8) The Music and Old Stones Festival. Concerts on Saturday at 7 p.m. in August: Trio Borsalino at the presbytery in Vallabrègues on the 5th; Quintet Gavali at the Jonquières-Saint-Vincent mills on the 12th; Mr Parallèle at the cloister of the cure of Fourques on the 19th; Divona Dromensa at the chapel of Broussan in Bellegarde on the 26th.

“We adapt to possible high heat”

Among the main animations, we will find the escape game designed by the partner Télé bleue and which works well. 230 people participated in the escape game during spring break. Several novelties

The experience of the Camargue race is renewed with 26 races scheduled, the aperitif panorama at the Abbey of Saint-Roman also where the gauge is revised upwards due to the success. Without forgetting the 6e edition of the Music and Old Stones festival with 4 dates in August. “With about fifteen proposals, the tourist will not be able to say that he is bored in Terre d’Argence”assures Valérie Parayre.
